<title>Urban Opera</title>
<description>This innovative social project is funded by the Scottish Arts Council's Youth Music Initiative and managed by Urban Learning Space. Its unique approach has enabled 15 young Glaswegians, who already have a passion for lyric writing, dancing and performing, to mix these interests up with classical opera to not only write and produce a new piece of performance theatre, but to perform in it too.

<title>On the Move</title>

<description>ULS have been working in partnership with Scottish Screen for the past months on this project, deploying Moving Image Education through working with young people not in education, employment or training and using creative engagement processes for the creation of new content.
On Thursday 15th November, topical short films produced by teenagers were shown at the Glasgow Film Theatre in Glasgow. The films were produced by learners from Rathbone Training as part of the 'On the Move' Project. The screening was well attended, predominantly by the learners' peers, and the powerful subject matter highlighted issues faced by young people today. The young filmmakers produced everything from the marketing material right through to the original music.
